New Lecture for Christmas 2026

 A Very Morris Christmas!

In this new lecture we join William Morris, his family and friends for a festive journey.

We will follow the Christmas story, as it appears in Morris' early Pre-Raphaelite poetry, and in the paintings of his friends Edward Burne-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rossetti. We will see the glorious stained glass designs they created together - the glowing images of angels, the Nativity and the Magi. And we will explore Morris's wintry writings, in The Earthly Paradise. This lecture also highlights the little Christmas designs made and shared by Jane Morris. This lecture is a feast for the eyes.

A new seasonal lecture for Arts Societies and Friends organisations - ready to book now for 2026 or 2027
